Communication and media in 21st century is transforming rapidly through the globalization of organizations and digital technologies. Communication and media not only shape organization and social structure but they influence our thinking. We query as to how communication and concepts can be translated into practices.

As such, the roles of communication and media need to be explored in the context of how we engage with the society.

The conference provides a broad platform for the discussion of emergent and interconnected issues from researches shaped by the meaning of communication and media as understood in the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world.

The 2010 theme “Communication and Society: Challenges and Engagement” is aimed to advance scholarship in the field of communication and contribute to engage in works that can be benefiting the communities.
